This project was a rebuild and redesign of an existing application that was built in a deprecated scripting

language and needed to be updateable.

I built the new application using JavaScript and also updated the visual design.

In this case, the designing encompassed structural design as well, as the codebase should change.

Novo Nordisk initially wanted me to use the Windows 8-like ‘Flat Design’, which was all the rage at that time,

but I consulted against it as we needed to maintain the recognisability of the application to accomodate the

fact that the users (non- technical employees) of the application were not in a position to spend time learning

a new layout and design in their busy schedules.

Also adapting to a - in this case - drastic design change did not seem apropriate for an application that was most likely to not be changed for a good number of years.
